2009 Alumni Band from Tigerland –– Tulane Game Weekend –– October 30-31, 2009!

If you're on the Alumni Band mailing list, you'll receive information on the weekend in the not too distant future. The Alumni Band is coordinated through the Alumni Association with Charlie Roberts and his staff. Event coordinator for this year's reunion will be Jason Ramezan. You can contact him for mailing information at 225-578-3838, or you can email Jason. Any instrument needs go through Jason. He will forward the information on to us. Also, this fall will be the 50th Anniversary of the LSU Golden Girls...formed in 1959, they have been an integral part of Tiger Band over the years. Are you a former member of the LSU Ballet Corps or Golden Girls? We are looking for you! If you're a former member, please click here.

Time TBA (afternoon): Golden Girls Halftime Routine Rehearsal at "Tari's School of Dance" in Baton Rouge (Pregame/Hey/Coda Fight)
Time TBA: Alumni Band Registration at the Lod Cook Alumni Center on the LSU campus
6:00 pm –– LSU Golden Girls 50th Anniversary Cocktail Party (must RSVP)
7:00 pm –– LSU Band Gala Dinner in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Golden Girls (must RSVP)

Saturday, October 31, 2009
8:00 am –– Breakfast (place TBA)

9:00 am –– Registration & Golden Girl/Tigerette/Colorguard Rehearsal at Indoor Football Facility
(Golden Girls, Tigerettes and Colorguard Review Routines and set field placement)

10:00 am –– Full Alumni Band Rehearsal in the Indoor Football Facility (near baseball stadium)

11:00 am –– Tiger Band and Alumni Band Rehearse together

12:30 pm –– Tiger Band Rehearses on their own

Time TBA –– Afternoon Pre-game Party in PMAC

6:45 pm –– All former Golden Girls introduced on the field (picture taken)

7:00 pm –– Kick-off - LSU vs Tulane

The combined halftime show format:

• Opener (Tiger Band)
• Golden Girls and Colorguard feature (Tiger Band)
• Coda Fight (Alumni Band marched onto field)
• Hey, Fightin' Tigers (Alumni Band)
• Pregame/Touchdown for LSU (Both Bands)

For this year's event:
Golden Girls, Tigerettes, Flags/Colorguard . . . Expect to perform to the usual songs (Coda Fight; Hey, Fightin' Tigers and Pregame/Touchdown for LSU). With the school songs, we can send you a DVD of the Tigerette, Golden Girl or Flag routines. Please email Steve Miley, Tiger Band alum and our Band Department Videographer, for a copy.
