LSU Colorguard

Tiger Band Colorguard
Established in 1971, the LSU Tiger Band Colorguard is comprised of approximately 24 talented young ladies who primarily twirl flags during Tiger Band pregame and halftime shows. This line is chosen by a special audition in the spring of each year. Membership is open to all qualified students who are on campus or are entering freshmen or transfer students. Students in college (including transfer students) must have a 2.0 grade-point average in order to audition for the line. Previous twirling experience is required.

The LSU Colorguard performs with the Tiger Band at all home LSU football games and away games with the full Tiger Band. Students chosen for the LSU Tiger Band Colorguard receive a music activity award of $1000. We also offer full tuition waivers for colorguard members who live out of state. A successful audition, test scores (ACT of 26 or higher; or SAT of 1170 or higher not including the writing component), and high school GPA (above 3.0+) are required. Auditions for the Colorguard generally take place in the spring of each year. Audition information is posted in January.

2009-2010 LSU Colorguard
Returning members include Nikki Blazier (Captain), Emily Brinks (Assistant Captain), Amanda Maillet, Dawn Monahan, Stephanie Owen, Courtney Quinn, Lisa Rogillio, Kathy Smith and Kathryn Wilken. New members inlcude Megan Arias, Lauren Beddingfield, Lanie Breaux, Macy Cambre, Amanda Dunne, Tiffani Griffin, Shelby Ilgenfritz, Erika Lehrmann,  Alison LeJeune, Brooke Little, Angela Major, Julianne Martin, Shelby Neuman, Vivien Norris, Hannah Pickard, Kristen Roussel, Krista Scruton, Treva Short, and Kaci Yoder.
