LSU Wind Ensemble

The LSU Wind Ensemble is the select concert organization of the LSU Band Department, and is comprised of the finest wind and percussion students in the School of Music, primarily graduate students and upperclassmen.

The programs of the LSU Wind Ensemble reflect great variety and a high level of musicianship. The musical repertoire includes highly regarded original band works as well as significant works from the chamber wind repertoire. In addition to its regular series of campus concerts each year, the Wind Ensemble tours and performs at both regional and national music conventions.

Auditions for Wind Ensemble are held five days before the start of classes in the fall semester. The Wind Ensemble performs three concerts in the fall semester and three in the spring semester. The group meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
