LSU Golden Girls
Taking the field with the Tiger Band at LSU for the first time in 1959, the prestigious LSU Golden Girls represent the oldest and most established danceline on the LSU campus. The line consists of a very talented group of young ladies who are chosen each spring by a special audition. Membership is open to all students who are on campus or are entering
freshmen or transfer students. Students in college (including transfer students) must have a 2.0 grade-point average in order to audition for the line. Previous studio dance training is highly recommended. Most of the girls on the line were members of their hometown dance studios and high school dancelines.

The Golden Girls are one of the feature units with the LSU Tiger Band and perform for all home LSU football games and selected campus events, as well as, away games with the full Tiger Band. All students chosen for the LSU Golden Girls receive a scholarship of $1000. Out-of-state students are eligible for full tuition awards. A successful audition, test scores (ACT of 26 or higher; or SAT of 1170 or higher not including the writing component), and high school GPA (above 3.0+) are required. Auditions for the 2009-10 LSU Golden Girls took take place on Saturday, April 4th. Congratulations to the 50th anniversary line pictured below!
Returning members include Jessica Baer, Brittany Brady, Brittany Brignac, Amanda Chapman, Danielle Hardy (Captain), Lauren
Harpole, Elizabeth Maier, Caroline Sexton and Kelsey Walden. New members include: Charlotte Baker, Alexandra Carter, Danielle
LeBlanc, Saige Riley, Abigail Ward, Jordan Whittington, and Roxanne Yi.
