
Scholarships
Music Activity Awards
Selected top-level musicians who major in music, and who participate in either Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Winds, Symphonic Band, or Orchestra during the fall and spring semesters, are eligible for a $2,000 award. This award, given by the Associate Dean of the College of Music and Dramatic Arts, is paid over the fall and spring semesters and is based on a successful application and audition.
Band Department Scholarships
Selected top-level musicians who participate in one or more Band Department ensembles may be awarded a Band Department Scholarship. A limited number of these scholarships are awarded to students based on the needs of the Band Department.
Tiger Marching Band Activity Awards
Students selected for membership in the LSU Tiger Marching Band are eligible to receive a $1,000 award. This award is given to all members––Instrumentalists, Colorguard and Golden Girls.
Band Student Staff Work Scholarships
Students in the LSU Bands may qualify for a staff work scholarship. These awards are generally reserved for experienced bandsmen. Recipients are paid an hourly wage according to a prescribed work schedule.
